When people buy Salvia there is always some confusion as to how to use the stuff. Some people think, in the same way as you would with marijuana, that you can just roll it up and put it in a joint. This is definitely not the case. You can’t go mixing it with tobacco either. The reason? Salvia combusts at much higher temperatures than the rest of the joint, meaning you’ll just waste your stash if you try it. If you have gone down this route don’t worry: this is a common approach, so you’re in good company!
The best ways to ingest the Salvia smoke is with a pipe or a bong. Pipes are perhaps easier and are more readily available. A bong may need to be manufactured (easily done with the right knowledge!) but the water in there will help to cool the smoke and make it less harsh. Some experienced Salvia users that I know will only smoke it through a bong, saying that the harshness of the pipe smoke makes them feel queasy.
Like so many things surrounding Sally D, the use of a pipe or a bong depends on so many variables. Give it a go and see for yourself!
