3G iPhone Games will soon catch on fire

Apr 10, 2008 Author: Sashi | Filed under: General

So you want to play some games on your iPhone but you don’t know where to start? ?Too bad.?

Oh okay then, here are some hints and tips to think about.?

Browser-based iPhone games are often of excellent quality and are usually free. There ?are plenty of these around and a quick search should take you to some of the better ?ones.?

P2P networking sites and torrents offer iPhone games. Naturally these should be ?approached with case as some (but by all means not all) will be illegal and some may ?even carry viruses. Free games are no good if your iPhone doesn’t work to play them.?

Then there are the membership sites offering unlimited numbers of iPhone games ?downloads for a single upfront or monthly fee. These vary greatly in quality and it ?really is essential that you put your due diligence in before hand (that means you need ?to do some research on google). Remember, sometimes we just have to bite the bullet ?and pay the asking price if we want the goods. Maybe those iPhone games are worth ?the asking price.?

There are also some games to download simply for free, but these will be, I suspect, a ?little more difficult to find. Demos and free samples might also be a rich source of ?temporary entertainment for those short of cash.?

It is not all that often that I go to the same company for the same thing. With so much competition out there in the big wide world there is always another, better, offer just around the corner. Poor customer service and no loyalty to customers means that there is very little reason for me to feel loyal towards a particular company or organization, either.

And so it is with some surprise that I continually find myself going back to Global Resorts Network. Two times every year I go to their catalogue and always manage to find a great vacation that suits me and my wife perfectly; I have never been on a bad vacation through them.

It is this loyalty towards Global Resorts Network that drew me to their work from home business opportunity. If I introduce someone to the network and they buy a membership (it’s a one time fee!) then I can earn up to $1000 in commission. That’s $1000 for selling something that I probably would have recommended anyway!

The Global Resorts Network compensation plan (if $1000 isn’t good enough on its own) offers the chance to earn residual income from your customers. The Global Resorts Network is really good opportunity whether you view it from the customer or the seller’s point of view.

Download an app for iPhone

Apple’s iPhone music download is heading East and soon its rabid fans all over Europe will be salivating like so many dogs over the subtle lines and impressive functionality. While this latest move seems set to offer the iPhone music only to the UK, France and Germany, it is a definitely a step in the right direction. Once there, it should only be a matter of finding the right carriers and partners before it is offered in other countries in Western Europe. How to download music on iPhone

These are exciting times for Apple: not only is the music downloadable on iPhone moving into new territory, but the new iPod nano looks set to make a welcome appearance. Fans managed to get a few poor quality photos of the device and its facelift onto the Internet. Hard working lawyers got them off again just as quickly (no doubt using their iPhone downloads for most of the work).

It seems Apple doesn’t have to do a great deal these days to tempt its fans with its latest offerings. Good for Jobs.

Office for Home Business

Buying good equipment is essential to any business. To a newly starting home business it is critical. While it might be tempting to limit the initial expenditure to the very minimum in order to save on outlay, it should be remembered that this is cost is an investment in your home business. A poor quality phone or computer can lead to many lost hours – and lost clients – that you simply cannot afford.

A good space from which to work is essential to your online home business. It is entirely possible to work from the kitchen table but you will find a private space – with a proper desk and a proper chair – will increase your productivity a great deal.

These initial investments will help your new home business more than they hurt your wallet. Think very carefully before spending any more, but think even more carefully if you are not intending to spend money: it may be a false economy.

How far iPhone Downloads Will Go?

Mar 28, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General

The lucky owners of Apple’s latest Big Thing – the iPhone – will be salivating at the recent news of the release of another new toy for their machine: the iPhone SDK on Download. While this mean much to many people, the SDK (software development kit) will allow third party programmers to write code that integrates seamlessly with the iPhone hardware and its downloads essentially the it allows much more flexibility when it comes to producing third party apps. Large gaming companies like PopCap and Namco have promised ports of classics like Pac-Man, Bejeweled and Zuma using the new iPhone SDK.
The full release date of the iPhone download with SDK is unclear (the current release is for the beta version only) and as such there can be no promises on the timely release of games or any other apps.
The iPhone SDK has certainly generated significant interest with owner and fans: there were over a million views of a release video that Apple and its music download on iPhone had posted on its site covering the new technology.

Campus battle against P2P filesharing

Students have long been the target of the RIAA and its many assorted cronies; they love P2P filesharing and they’re generally unwilling (or unable) to pay for the same material they can get for free on Campus. With fast network connections in rooms – as well as near-neighbors with huge file collections – colleges are well suited for hot P2P filesharing action.

Campuses are going on the offensive and encouraging students to use Ruckus. Ruckus is a music-download service catering specifically to this type of downloader. Naturally Ruckus files are DRM protected meaning there’s nowhere you can put this file but on your computer. The selection? Not as good as you would get with a P2P filesharing application like Ares, quite simply.

So where is this offensive of P2P filesharing likely to go? Not very far if you ask me. Students will find a way around the flimsy barriers erected by industry and by their learned academic institutions. Power to the people? Probably.

Great Wakeboard video

Wakeboard videos do not come much better than this.

You may have read in the inimitable Alliance Magazine about a road trip taken by 11 of the worlds top wakeboarders. This trip took place around Mexico, involved a large passenger van, two watercraft and a lot of water. The gang toured the country looking for lakes, rivers and surf spots in which to ply their trade. Sounds like the holiday of a lifetime? Sure does. What I wouldn’t give to be there with them.

And I never will be able to make it, not least because I’m not a tenth of the wakeboarders that they are. But I can – and I did – go out and purchase the wakeboard video “Caguamus– The Long Road” which documents the trip (the stars were thoughtful enough to take a video camera with them). And what a journey it is, and all captured on one of the most moving wakeboard videos of late.

Torrents key to latest filesharing technology

Mar 24, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General

BitTorrent is a relatively new technology that allows sharing of files in an efficient way with limited strain on resources and with maximum redundancy. What this means to the standard computer user is less failed or corrupted downloads, less tie-up of computing power, and more opportunities for file downloads. Torrents are commonly used when huge files or groupings of files are offered for download.

Torrents are files which gives information on a download that is registered with one or more of the popular trackers. Torrents may be held in whole (a ’seed’) or in part by one or more of the other users connected to the tracker. Each user (or ‘client’) can then connect to one another and begin to download the files in the torrents. Segments of the files are taken in no particular order from no particular client. The more clients connected to the tracker with this particular torrent, the more choices there are for downloading a particular section of the file. More choices mean less resource strain on any one individual source.

We7 gets support from Sony to offer free music downloads

Like free music downloads? Don’t like infringing on copyright? Then head over the We7: Peter Gabriel’s ad-supported online music downloads store has earned the support of Sony BMG meaning its entire back catalogue will soon be available for free. This announcement by We7 and Sony is fantastic news for music lovers and absolutely terrifying news for much of the rest of the industry.

Interestingly a parallel announcement by 24-7 Entertainment sees them preparing to launch unlimited mobile music downloads for a Nordic provider, as well as being in talks with a number of phone providers from the UK.

O2 is also getting on the act by partnering with the daddy of music downloads, Napster. Napster are currently in talks with giant Vodafone, meaning the likelihood of some solid deal coming out of Napster’s camp are increasing.

What will happen to CD sales? Will this rush of free music affect online sales of music tracks? Who knows? Keep tuned, dear reader.
